Snake, from a new angle

The central idea is simple: take a familiar arcade game and change the geometry beneath it.

01

A world without edges

Classic Snake moves onto a spherical surface, opening wraparound routes and changing how players plan every escape.

02

Three ways to lose perspective

Normal, Obscured, and Sphereless each change how much of the arena players can see and trust.

03

Short runs, lasting competition

Global leaderboards, achievements, and weekly tournaments give quick mobile sessions a longer competitive arc.

04

Play solo or head-to-head

Practice against a bot or compete in 1v1 multiplayer with nearby friends and online opponents.

Short description

For listings and introductions

Snake Sphere transforms the classic game of Snake into a three-dimensional arcade challenge played across a globe. Collect energy to grow, steer around the sphere, and avoid colliding with your own tail as routes become tighter and riskier. Three modes—Normal, Obscured, and Sphereless—change how players read the arena, while global leaderboards, achievements, weekly tournaments, 1v1 multiplayer, and unlockable snake skins add long-term competition. Snake Sphere is free to play and is coming to iPhone and iPad in August 2026.

For features and review context

Snake Sphere brings classic Snake into three dimensions by wrapping the entire game around a globe. Players collect energy orbs to grow, steer around the curved arena, and avoid colliding with a tail that becomes increasingly difficult to track as every run continues. The spherical surface opens routes without traditional screen edges and encourages players to plan escape corridors before they trap themselves.

The game includes Normal, Obscured, and Sphereless modes. Normal keeps the arena visible for a direct test of route planning and reflexes. Obscured reveals only half the planet at a time, forcing players to remember what may be waiting around the curve. Sphereless removes the planet’s visual anchor and leaves the snake moving through the clouds.

Each mode has its own global leaderboard. Players can pursue achievements and weekly tournaments, compete in 1v1 multiplayer with nearby friends or online opponents, or practice against a bot. Coins earned through play unlock cosmetic snake skins.

Snake Sphere is being developed and published by Present Day Media for iPhone and iPad. It will be free to play, supported by ads, with a one-time option to remove ads and optional cosmetic purchases. Release is planned for August 2026.
